Regarding Our Sexual Selves

(0625141031AMishC.E.S.)
=
Hello ladies,
When it comes to thinking of ourselves as "women", we often get too busy in Life. And it is the same when it comes to our sexualities. Thus I enjoy and encourage us to become more aware of ourselves in these ways.
Ex. You have seen me do it before with various attendances such as my annual (when I can afford it) at the Northbound Leather's Fetish/ Fashion show, and other events you may not know about - I have yet to catch up on a LOT of blogging.
So today (while it's on my mind), I thought I'd share this with you all, and see if it inspires you to either:
1. Do something similar
2. Help me do it (I may/ will ask Qs from you for your opinions, and may ask for further assist.)
Ok, here it is...
Link found through the Cliterature 2014 Event:
https://www.facebook.com/events/592058590844113/?ref_dashboard_filter=upcoming
So inspired, I shared a message (0625141010AMishC.E.S.):
'Dear organizers of this event,
I remember last year when I met a friend at this event. Unfortunately I was only there to pick her up, and did not get to attend. This year I had to miss it also, butt..
I must say how very INSPIRATIONAL this event/ idea is even without my attendance thus far (unfortunate, but true).
As I have found links on here, that have inspired some personal projects.
I hope to share them with you (upon completion) some time soon... (^&^) '

I will start blogging such thoughts (including this one) soon.
Thankz for all your patience with me - REALLY!
XOXOXOXO

Brain Waves

WELCOME to our Brain Waves Section!
We had to make this introduction information, so you know what to find on our site(s).

WHY?
Because here on Wordpress, there is only one page all posts land on.
So we are windowing our sista site (Collaborative Endeavors Studio), for better understanding.
Quoting our sista site:
"As with all "Brain Wave" actions, the creative process enables various ways to get involved, have fun, and grow in positive ways."

WHERE?
Find all our exciting activities on our "Post Office" page!

CATEGORIES/ PROJECTS
~ The ongoing saga of site location/ building! (Dec.,2009)

RE: Collaborations
All are welcome to join in the fun/ collaborate with us here! This includes all women who may not feel “comfortable” on our sister site/ online presences (Wild Wicked Women – Creative Collective), men, and children. Let us know, if needed.
Notes:
~ It is preferred that younger children be accompanied by a parent, or responsible care giver during our activities/ events that include them. Thankz for understanding.
~ As with all the categories above, feel free to add wherever you wish.
Collaborations just bring on the fun!!! (^^^)
Thankz so much if you do!
+Ideas/ Proposals/ Suggestion Box
~
RE: Ideas
Welcome to another resource space! We all can be inspired and discover some really great ideas!
Do you have a lot of ideas like myself?
Have you blogged about it?
Do you have something in mind, that you would like to do with us/ see us do?
Feel free to share it here!
Feel free to share if:
~ You wish to share any
~ As blogs generally have a comments area at the bottom, this would be for forum discussions. We plan on starting a forum page in the future, so if you have any comments for a forum discussion to be started would sure be helpful. Topic suggestions are a great way to let us know specifically what kind of information we might start with.
~ We have ideas flowing in and out quite often, so a list will be generated eventually (hopefully sooner than later, organizations are still in the midst).
~
RE: Proposals
Welcome to another resource space! Proposals can be from us or you, and may include anything we are doing here already, or not.
~
RE: Suggestions for our "Suggestion Box"
Welcome to another resource space! This space is for:
~ Finding tips or tricks
~ Your feedback to us about any of our "Brainwaves" categories, or otherwise.
How are we doing? Are keeping up enough?
~ Have some helpful information/ "constructive criticisms" to share/ suggest?
Feel free to do it here, and keep it positive!
+
Notes:
~ As we all wish to be treated respectfully, we also wish for suggestions to be presented as constructive criticism and not "hate mail". Also "class, not crass" is preferred. For example, here's my 1st suggestion to myself:
Dear me,
I have noticed how much I seem overwhelmed at times, by what needs to be done. Please do try to improve on my tardiness! This will help me more than I may realize. Thankz (^&^)
~ If we get enough of any specific suggestion(s), we may just look into it with a forum discussion first (See above, "Ideas")
~ Please know that all decisions are up to the individuals involved, and suggestions do not have to be followed.
Thankz (^&^)
Sincerely,
Chris S. (*@^@*)

War Wounds

"Scars B' Gone"

Hello,
In Life, not everyone gets through "unscathed". This blog is about physical scars, was written for our Creative Collective, and includes some helpful findings online.
While out visiting some friends, I was informed of some kind of scar removal product that can be bought at a local store. The details were vague, and I took it as a 'Le Challenge' for myself to discover what that may be. So online I went! I am quoting the articles here, and these are my findings...

NATURAL REMEDIES
Found here:
http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2013-06-23/beauty/37935759_1_scars-baking-soda-water
Options:
"1. To clear scars caused by accidents, roast turmeric powder (not packed turmeric available in markets but turmeric used on face) and mix it with desi ghee. Apply this gently on your scars with the help of your fingertips. Wash this off in about 20 minutes. This mixture completely clears scars but it is always good to ask your physician before starting off on any beauty regime.
2. Another homemade remedy to clear scars is by the use of baking soda, which is a natural exfoliator and aids in gently scraping the scar tissue layer by layer. Make a light paste using two parts of water and one part of baking soda. Scrub this gently on the scars for about a minute after which you can rinse it off. Make sure you avoid rubbing vigorously."
+
"What to remember:
1. Apply vitamin E oil, you can extract it from a capsule and apply it on your scars before you hit the bed everyday. This is an effective method to fade out spots and scars.
2. Drink a lot of water. Keep a track that you eat healthy because this helps in removing the toxins from your body and in turn gives you a scar-free face.
3. Never use plain lemon juice on your face because it can harm the skin. Dilute lemon juice in water or rose water and then use it on your skin.
4. Wash your face at least twice a day if not more, using fresh cold water. This prevents the clogging of pores.
5. Use a good oil control face wash to help prevent excess oil secretion which leads to acne and scars."
+
FOR THE FACE
Found here:
http://www.wikihow.com/Reduce-the-Appearance-of-Scars-from-Your-Face
"Use Lemon Juice. It is a natural bleach and it helps in lightening the scars and blemishes of the skin. Apply on skin twice a day for 15 minutes."
"Get rid of acne scars with Rosehip Seed Oil.This is a special kind of oil used in cosmetics and is extremely useful in reducing acne scars. Simply massage the oil on the scars for 15 minutes twice a day."
"Rub Ice Cubes on the scar. This is a very simple home remedy to remove the scarring, but I have to warn you, it can be a little painful. You need to rub the ice on the scars for 15 minutes everyday."
"Apply Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera Gel/Juice really comes in handy when applied of fresh wounds as it prevents the formation of permanent scarring."
"Use Tree Tea Oil. Apply Tree Tea oil on your skin everyday and leave it one for 30 minutes. It works like magic."
"Try honey. This is by the far the best home remedy for acne. Believe it or not. I'll tell you what exactly to do with honey. You need to do this right before you go to bed at night. Apply honey on the surface of infected are and cover it with band aid."
"Use sandalwood. Sandalwood is best for removing scars from face. Rub sandalwood with either milk or with rose water and apply to face. Wash your face after an hour using cold water. This helps to remove the scars and blemishes from your face."
"If you have many scars in your face, drink lemon juice without sugar 2 to 3 times a day for 15 days."
"Soak 2 to 3 almonds in water and leave it overnight. In the morning peel the skin and mash it. Mix little rose water and apply to face. This helps in removing scars and blemishes from face."
"If you have wrinkles on your face, you can use radish seed paste. Applying this paste helps to remove scars and wrinkles from face."
"Use potatoes. Potato is also very useful to remove scars from face. Potato contains minerals like potassium, and sulfur and applying raw potato juice helps to remove scars from face."
+
STORE BOUGHT
Found here:
http://scar-treatments-center.org/?s_kwcid=TC|22853|scars%20removal||S|e|21059688061&ef_id=LQFPmU0TpwsAAI6L:20130710125147:s
Quoting:
"the best scar treatments and management products are those that are gel or serum-based and use medical-grade silicone as their primary/active ingredient."
"there is really no way to completely remove a scar."
"Scar gels containing medical-grade silicones have been shown to reduce the appearance of scars and provide a barrier to help protect a scar as it heals."
"no over-the-counter product is currently available that has been clinically proven to physically “remove” a scar 100%."
Scar Removal Gels are better than creams!:
"Scientific studies have shown that gel-based products have the ability to absorb into the skin faster than cream-based products because they are lighter."
"Scar gels are easy to use, help to moisturize the area and, once absorbed into the skin, you can easily apply makeup to the area or wear your favorite outfit over the area without any concerns. Medical-grade silicone has also been shown to help reduce the discomfort and itching that is associated with scars while significantly reducing the appearance of scars."
"the healing time with scar removal creams will be longer since creams cannot provide undiluted medical-grade silicone because of the base ingredients."
Serum-based:
"Serum-based scar removal products which contain 100% undiluted medical-grade silicone have been shown to significantly reduce the appearance of plastic surgery scars safely and effectively. Remember to check with your surgeon to ensure that the wound has healed sufficiently before applying any type of scar management product to a surgery site."

I hope this is as helpful for many, as I hope it to be for myself.

@ 1st Glance - Connecting #1

A Grand Affair

Hello,
Previously I have done my "@ First Glance", with the fashion aspect of life in mind. If you do not know of this/ know how this works, please see this introductory fashion blog. Thankz

Today I am viewing it at a different angle than usual, and taking it to a new level! I am expanding the idea, to include different "Life online" aspects. This is called "@ 1st Glance – Connecting" # 1, and this first exploration is a bit of a "double whammy". I am bringing this to you as a "wild wicked women – creative collective" member within my group, and in support of others that also fit the description.
I recently had the pleasure, of meeting two of the ladies involved with the site called Creative Enterprise. This is a great little resource site, that many look past or forget about. I came across it some time ago now, and I am sad to say that I too had forgotten about it. So this was a lucky reminder, as Creative Enterprise started an initiative that is a relatively new social site called Grand Social.

This is where I am exploring today... Ready? (^^^)
Upon clicking the link to Creative Enterprise:
What do I see on their home page?
That my friends, will be a seperate blog coming soon.
Link will be attached here once done... (^^^)
&
Upon clicking the link to Grand Social:
What do I see on their home page?
Step 1: Site Finding/ Exploration
GCP:
It's introduction at the top states: "Welcome to Grand Social Your VOICE for what's happening across Waterloo Region". This seems to be a regional social calendar site, much like "the Echo" use to be. Checking just under the introduction I find at the bottom Right a note, that tells us it's an initiative of Creative Enterprise. Then there are tabs, that lead into the start of the page and it's searchable links. Here we find tabs for events, blogs, people, places, and resources.
Below this the page hosts a calendar and posts of events, opportunities, projects, and even some more Creative Enterprise initiatives that are also resources in the right side column. After all these posts there is yet another section, simply called "More". Here I find a Google map with a search bar to find locations within our region, that is a good viewing size, and spans across the width of the page.
Still more is below this! There are 4 pics/ links to local places, like features or sponsorship I'm not sure. Either way, nice to see. Then the page ends with a dark section that includes links, reviews the tabs in their different categories, provides a brief discription of Grand Social with the opportunity to join, and includes Creative Enterprises logo. Pretty good "beef" if you ask me!
=
Step 2: Homepage Disection
Face Factor (FF) & Grinzzz Vision (GV)
FF given:
~ Great to see the introduction explains the page! This is surprisingly, commonly missing.
~ Explains also right away that it's an initiative of another company. GREAT to know!
~ For what you can search, this may be a similar set up to other sites like Facebook but there's an apparent difference already. With tabs to search for these things instead of a general search bar/ searching others' pages for blog sharing/ notes, it can be a much easier way to find what you're looking for.
~ Local events, opportunities, and projects to attend/ participate are not always easy to find or advertise. As great communicably as it is, even Facebook has flaws here. Also with unwanted ads and fees coming into play; many slow frequency of visits/ use, and noone wants to pay.
~ A calendar being easily accessible on the front page, is always handy.
~ Love the Google map right on the front page with the calendar. This is a great addition that comes in handy, and won't be missed by those of us who look past the posts. Seems all that's missing is the calculator. Lol
~ The dark section explaining the tabs categories is nice to know.
&
GV given:
~ Having more resources from the same company that brings this site to us (the general public) is great to see! As this can stir more interest with both this site (Grand Social), as well as the parent site (Creative Enterprise), and the sites of the links shared here! Also great to know of!!! I love seeing things like this, it shows me quality! Mmm... Yummy Beef with Gravy! (^^^)
~ The opportunity to join being in the dark section is great! This encourages visitors to go all the way to the bottom, and thus visit/ check out more for longer. More gravy please. (^^^)
=
Step 3: ~ Le Fini ~
The Summing:
Upon GCPing this site, it is found to have an FF of 7, with a GV of 2.
&
Thinking of my own site, as I am currently working on a new one... I am not sure if the 4 local pics/ links near the bottom might better serve the page, if relocated to between the tabs and start of the posts shared. Not sure where I would put them either.

So there we go, the first of this blog kind for me. As I journey on through life, I hope to find the time to do more like this. It was a pleasant exploratative adventure today! Thankz for listening!
&
Thankz ladies who introduced me to this Grand Social site! You know who you are... (^^^)
Feel free to share!
Sincerely,
TtD/ C.E.S. (*@^@*)

@ First Glance – Intro.

What's in a Glance?

Hello,
This is an old idea that I originally started as a way to remember which fashion sites I like, and which ones I really love. If this also helps others to be introduced to some of these sites that they too may enjoy or find as a great resource, then great! I am always happy to "pay it forward", even if unintentionally.

THE IDEA:
To going online to sites of interest, for friendly viewing visits (fvv). In which I judge the first/ home page with smiles/ facial expressions through blogs.
=
HOW IT WORKS:
1) Site Finding/ Exploration
I find a site of interest, and explore the first/ home page. When I do this I first take a look at the general content on the page without using any links to go elsewhere on their site. I call this the "General Content Peak (GCP)".
Looking with thoughts of:
How busy ("beef"/ content)
What is offered for info. (subject matter)
How much of the aspect is covered (relativity, complete picture)
+
2) Homepage Disection
What and why I liked...
I decide what/ how many "BIG SMILES" to give them. Things I find good to know/ great to be included, will gain one. I call this process the "Face Factor (FF)".
NEW:
This round (May 10, 2013) I am introducing the addition of "GRINZZZ".
I will give "GRINZZZ" to what I find really inspirational/ WICKED! This in called "Grinzzz Vision (GV)".
+
3) ~ Le Fini ~
When I am done exploring the home page, I will add/ sum them up! As well as add any additional thoughts/ ideas I may wish to share.

Keeping it simple.
Feel free to share this/ these blogs. Thankz
Sincerely,
M.M./ C.E.S. (*@^@*)
P.S.
